Why isn't the religious right Muslim?

A large portion of the religious right complains that Islam is worse than Christianity because Jesus was more of a pacifist than the Islamic prophet but a majority of conservatives believe war is not only ok, but necessary. I would think they would convert into Islam, not discriminate.
