What is the ultimate mystery in Ted Dekker's Blink?

In Ted Dekker's novel "Blink" a 190+ IQ California boy tries to help save a Saudi princess. If anyone has read the book, I would love some insight on what the overall mystery you are trying to figure out. I think it's what will happen to Miriam, but I'm not done yet. You can spoil the book for me, the part I'm reading isn't that interesting and i will probably take me a while to finish it.
