What does this Oscar Wilde quote mean?

Of all the bizarre Oscar Wilde quotes, this is the most straightforward. Let's put it in current usage: the body sins once, meaning if you screw someone you're not supposed to, then that is the sin. You've done it; over and done with; move on. Whereas, if you don't do it, you just keep thinking about it all the time and committing sin after sin after sin.
