Will my relationship with this Bosnian girl work?

I'm (dating) seeing this girl who is a Bosnian Serb but I am a white americain. I have been seeing this girl for about two months and have had only two dates. She say's that its because of her father and that he does not aprove of her seeing me because I am not Serbian. So if there are any Serbian or Bosnian men or women who could talk to me about this and if it will work I'd really appreciate it.
