Will the check engine light go off by itself once the problem is fixed or should code be erased using obdreder?

my car had a misfire in cyl#1. I replaced sparkplugs and ignition coil and the check engine light is still on. Does it mean there is still some other issue? Or should I erase the code using an obd scanner?
